Tan Son Nhat Airport Transfer to District 1

Coming soon. Bookings from Tan Son Nhat Airport open soon. Right now we drive from Da Nang Airport.

Tan Son Nhat sits inside Ho Chi Minh City, only about 7 km from District 1. On a good day the drive takes around 30 minutes, but Saigon traffic can stretch it. A GateARide transfer costs from 325,000 VND for the whole car, and your driver meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign.

Which terminal you land at, and where we meet you

Tan Son Nhat has three terminals. International flights use Terminal 2 (T2). Domestic flights use Terminal 3 (T3) for most airlines, including Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways, and Terminal 1 (T1) for Vietjet. In Saigon, Grab is usually cheaper than we are, and for a couple with carry-on bags arriving in daylight it's a good choice. What the extra cost buys you is a driver who is already waiting when you walk out, no search for the pickup zone with tired kids, a van if there are seven or more of you, and a price that doesn't jump with rain or late-night demand.

A word of warning about the arrivals hall

Real Grab and taxi drivers don't come inside the terminal to look for passengers. If someone approaches you in the arrivals hall showing a ride app on their phone, or a taxi has a familiar color but a misspelled name, walk past. Use the marked Grab pickup area, the official taxi rank, or your pre-booked driver.

From District 1 to Tan Son Nhat

The ride back costs the same. The airport is close, so it's tempting to leave late, but traffic near the airport can be slow at rush hour.

  • Set your pickup 2.5 hours before a domestic flight, or 3.5 hours before an international one.
  • Be in the lobby at the pickup time. Your driver will wait up to 15 minutes.
  • Tell us if your flight is domestic or international when you book. Your driver drops you at the right terminal for your flight.
